Aisling Ghéar’s 20th Anniversary – a journey in Irish Theatre.

Aisling Ghéar – the Irish language theatre company in NI, is kicking off its’ Anniversary Year with a Retrospective Exhibition, looking at the company’s work since in 1997, alongside events in its’ home city of Belfast. Photographs, newspaper articles, features, reviews, programmes and various yards of 35mm film, liberated from friends, family and a number of the city’s foremost organisations, have yielded a very unique treasure trove! With its roots firmly in the city while taking its work to the four corners of the country, even in tough times, Aisling Ghéar invites you to, take a look back, with a sense of pride and achievement in the company’s progress and, feel confident that it will continue to thrive for the next generation.

Tá Aisling Ghéar – Compántas drámaíochta Gaeilge i dTuaisceart Éireann, ag cur tús, sa bhliain chomóraidh seo, le Taispeántas Aisbhreathnaitheach, ag coimhéad obair an chompántais ó bhí 1997 ann, i dteannta imeachtaí ina cathair dhúchais féin, Béal Feirste. Grianghraif, ailt nuachtán, gné-ailt, athbhreithnithe, cláir agus slata áirithe scannán 33mm, fuascailte ó chairde, teaghlach agus ó roinnt phríomh-eagraíochtaí na cathrach, a nochtann ciste fionnta uathúil! Agus é fréamhaithe go daingin sa chathair ach ag tabhairt na hoibre chuig na ceithre hairde, fiú sa saol crua atá ann, tugann Aisling Ghéar cuireadh duit, amharc siar, le bród agus le rí-ghnóthachtáil in dul chun cinn an chompántais agus, le misneach ionat go mbeidh rath air san am atá le theacht.
